佐治亞大學(xué)位于佐治亞州，本省是美國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)比較發(fā)達(dá)的州省，首府亞特蘭大更是曾舉辦過(guò)奧運(yùn)會(huì)，而學(xué)校所在地阿森斯即臨近亞特蘭大，就業(yè)大環(huán)境非常好。
佐治亞大學(xué)的傳播學(xué)院與公共行政學(xué)院素為全美最頂尖的五所學(xué)校之一，這兩個(gè)學(xué)院是佐治亞大學(xué)名氣最大兩個(gè)學(xué)院。另外，教育學(xué)、會(huì)計(jì)、法學(xué)、歷史等專(zhuān)業(yè)排名亦不弱，工程、理科類(lèi)專(zhuān)業(yè)排名較低對(duì)本科生而言，“公立常青藤”可謂教育質(zhì)量的保證，也是學(xué)校聲譽(yù)的保證，新生保持率94%，公立大學(xué)中名列前茅，即使與頂級(jí)的私立大學(xué)相比也毫不遜色。
不過(guò)佐治亞大學(xué)主要以佐治亞本州學(xué)生為主，佐治亞本州的高中生，只要GPA達(dá)到3.0便可以入讀佐治亞大學(xué)。學(xué)校規(guī)模超大、國(guó)際學(xué)生比例不及1%，體育尤其是女子體操尤其強(qiáng)勢(shì)，已捧10座NCAA冠軍。整體而言，佐治亞大學(xué)的留學(xué)性價(jià)比很高——相比其USNEWS排名來(lái)講。
